A moderate day following roads and bike paths that we did last fall. Back then we were cold and wet but today is a scorcher.
Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue is a favourite and our goal for coffee.
Following the fleuve once again, we stop at the beginning of the Lachine canal for lunch at Uno Gelato. This is our third visit and the family recognizes us from last year when we were cold and soaking wet looking for refuge. Highly recommend their sandwiches.
I won’t bore you with our rest day in Montreal. One highlight though was chatting with a young Parisian guy packing his Surly steed at the hostel next store:
His plan is to head to Quebec City, Gaspésie, down through the states to New Orleans then up to Chicago. On to Vancouver then south to Argentina!
Key takeaway: his spouse is back in Paris for this whole adventure.
